Liver cancer is a type of cancer that starts forming in the cells of your liver, which is a large organ in your upper abdomen area. The most common kind of liver cancer is hepatocellular carcinoma, but there are other types as well. Sometimes, cancer can spread to the liver from other parts of the body, and that’s called metastatic cancer.
The symptoms of liver cancer may not show up until it has progressed, but you might experience fatigue, weight loss, nausea, pain in your upper abdomen, yellow skin, and white stools. If you notice any of these symptoms, it might be a good idea to see a doctor.
